It was also designed to help overseas students be more employable upon their return to their respective home country or before they move onto another Australian Visa.

Bupa’s 485 Visa Health Insurance will help you meet your 485 visa requirement, for other requirements, check out our 485 visa checklist here.

If you’re transferring off Bupa’s OSHC

As Australia’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection requires you to have continuous health cover for your duration in Australia, it is common for you to have OSHC and 485 cover with Bupa while you’re applying for your 485 visa. This means you may have two covers at the same time while you wait for a decision about your visa. When you get your new visa, simply let us know. We will backdate the end of your Bupa OSHC cover to the date your new cover started, so you’re not paying for the two covers with Bupa.
